During an introductory meeting, I regularly get the same question: "We are torn between wedding planning and wedding management. What is actually the difference?" It is a logical question. The terms are often used interchangeably, even though they mean something completely different.
The good news? Neither is better. It is mainly about what you need right now.

Wedding planning: guidance from the first idea
Wedding planning begins well before the wedding day. From the moment you decide to get married, I help you think about the complete picture. Not only the planning, but also the atmosphere, the guest experience, and the concept behind your wedding. Together, step by step, we build a day that perfectly reflects who you are.
During the wedding planning process, I help with, among other things:
developing a clear concept;
drawing up a realistic budget;
finding the right wedding venue;
selecting suppliers;
monitoring the schedule;
styling and total experience;
Full coordination on the wedding day.
In short: I guide you throughout the entire process.
Wedding management: you handle the preparations, I take over
Some couples actually find it incredibly fun to handle the preparations themselves. They choose the venue themselves, book their suppliers, and take care of all the practical matters. But as the wedding day approaches, the same thought often arises:
Who will actually ensure that everything comes together later?
That is where wedding management comes in. Approximately four to six weeks before the wedding, I take over the entire overview. I check the schedule, coordinate everything with suppliers, review the timeline, and ensure that every party involved knows exactly what is expected. On the wedding day, I am the central point of contact for suppliers, the venue, and guests. So that you and your family can be fully present.
Which services suit you best?
Choose wedding planning if you:
✓ want professional advice from the start;
✓ need for structure and overview;
✓ want help with suppliers and location;
✓ want to establish a strong concept;
✓ want to be unburdened throughout the entire process.
Choose wedding management if you:
✓ have largely arranged the preparations yourself;
✓ only seek support during the last few weeks;
✓ not wanting to look after anything on the wedding day;
✓ wanting parents, family, and friends to enjoy themselves completely.
Is a wedding manager solely in charge of the wedding day?
That is often thought. But wedding management begins even before the wedding day. In fact, a tremendous amount happens in the final weeks. Suppliers need to be coordinated. Schedules checked. Timetables refined. Practical questions answered.
And any potential bottlenecks resolved before they even become a problem. As a result, the wedding day feels relaxed. Not because nothing is happening, but because everything is taken care of behind the scenes.
Ultimately, it comes down to the same thing.
Whether you choose a wedding planner or a wedding manager... The goal remains exactly the same. That you can be fully present. That your parents can simply be parents. That guests feel welcome. And that at the end of the evening, you realize that you never for a moment wondered if everything was under control. Because that is ultimately the greatest added value of professional guidance.
Not the planning. But the peace that results from it.
What kind of guidance suits you?
Every wedding is different. That is why I always start with a no-obligation introductory meeting.
Together, we discuss your plans, where you currently stand in the process, and which form of guidance suits you best. This way, we don't opt for more guidance than necessary, but for exactly what helps you look forward to your wedding day without a worry.
FAQ
Is a wedding manager the same as a master of ceremonies?
No. A master of ceremonies is often a friend or family member who takes on certain practical tasks. A wedding manager is a professional who handles full coordination, manages suppliers, and is responsible for the execution of the plan.
Can I still switch to wedding planning?
Absolutely. Sometimes couples start with wedding management in mind, only to discover during the initial consultation that full wedding planning aligns better with their wishes. We look into that together.
Which choice do most couples make?
That depends on the stage you are in. Have you just started planning? Then wedding planning often offers the most peace of mind. Have you already arranged everything, but want to enjoy your wedding day worry-free? Then wedding management is usually the perfect choice.
